Building Banter
"Building Banter" is a networking forum set up by Richard Neilson from Quantum Solutions for the construction sector, is all about building relationships, creating new ones, being kept aware of developments in the pipeline and learning from specialist key speakers on the day.
Types of companies attending will include: Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Developers, Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors, Architects, Engineers, Construction Lawyers, Construction Insurance Brokers, Suppliers etc. We are all currently striving to survive the current recession and position ourselves the best we can when the construction industry starts building momentum once again.
Press Release dated 8 August 2011
Richard Neilson, Director of Kilmarnock based Quantum Solutions, set up Building Banter, he said: “One of the main aims of Building Banter is to create and build (no pun intended) business relationships. Building Banter provides an opportunity to connect your business to other professionals and their businesses within the construction sector. It is designed to provide some quality time on a regular basis to get to know others, build networks of contacts and discuss and learn about some of the opportunities and issues which impact on the sector.”
We will be learning from our attendees continually by listening on the day and having a comments box for people to drop a note with feedback on issues which are current and real. From this feedback we will tailor events in the future to meet our attendees needs and concerns. It is being held early in the morning so as not to interfere too much with the precious time that must be allocated to our important day to day work loads.
Business Networking
Building Banter provides an opportunity to connect your business to other professionals and their businesses within the construction sector.
The Building Banter is designed to provide some quality time on a regular basis so that those attending get to know others, build their network of contacts and discuss and learn about some of the opportunities and issues that impact on the sector?
Business has always been generated on the basis of not what you know, but who you know and the Building Banter has been created to extend the network of contacts this applies to.
Within the Building Banter you and your company will have your own web page created which all others registered can view. The web page will offer an opportunity to give more details about your experiences and information about your company, it's products and services.
Douglas Reid, Council Leader
As we look to develop Kilmarnock town centre, and consider a number of other key developments to enhance the local community, I am delighted that the Building Banter will bring so many influential people together from within the construction sector. Kilmarnock has a proud industrial and commercial history and, working together, we can look forward to creating the right conditions which will enable the town and surrounding area to prosper.
As leader of the Council, I am delighted that this initiative has its roots in Kilmarnock and look forward to seeing how these events lead to better understanding across the sector and opportunities for local businesses to share in the projects that lie ahead.
Willie Coffey, MSP
The continued development of Kilmarnock and Irvine Valley as a vibrant business and social community will rely on the partnerships which evolve across both the public and private sectors and I am delighted to see the Building Banter initiative brings together many businesses within the construction sector to help shape our local identity.
As MSP for Kilmarnock and Irvine Valley I am delighted that so many will come together to share their knowledge and expertise while opening up opportunities to develop key business networks at both a local and national level.
I look forward to hearing the views of the construction community as we look to develop the area to meet the ever changing needs of our community.
